Dental Emergency Tips

  • Chipped or broken tooth: Make sure you don't eat anything that can cause further damage to the aleady damaged tooth or teeth; this can include hard or solid foods, as well as extremely hot or cold foods. Wait until after the tooth is fixed by your dentist to resume eating normal foods again.
  • Cut, bleeding gums: Apply pressure to the effected area until bleeding stops or until you see a doctor. If the wound is extremely deep, you may be advised to go to the emergency room.
  • Knocked out tooth or teeth: Put the tooth in milk and make sure you see a dentist immediately. There is no guarantee that your tooth will be saved, but the sooner you see a dentist, the better the chances.
  • Toothache or jaw pain: Eat softer, more gentle foods and call us for further guidance. Your jaw pain could be a result of several different things.
